What is the difference between Android TV™ and AOSP?
These are the two operating systems designed for set-top boxes.
Powered by Android TV, these devices are tested to receive certification from Google. It guarantees that set-top boxes last at least three years. The operating system and security protocols of Android TV set-top boxes get updated regularly.
Pre-installed licensed apps from Google are another feature of these devices. The Google app store offers over 7,000 games and apps to users.
The AOSP is free and open-source software. AOSP developers can create their firmware configurations. These set-top boxes don’t undergo mandatory certifications and thereby may break down or freeze. This means that users can opt for a connection method and enjoy a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz wireless channel providing data rates up to 150 Mbps and 550 Mbps, respectively.

What are 4K and HEVC?
4K is a high-definition video format: 3,840 × 2,160 pixels. You can view 4K content only on a compatible TV.
HEVC, aka H.265, is a powerful video codec that compresses high-quality content and recreates it on the user’s screen without any loss in quality. HEVC enables you to watch 4K video without delay, even at slow Internet speeds (from 5 Mbps).

What is HDR?
HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology lets your device display light and dark colors and image details more realistically. If you want to watch HDR content, make sure you have a compatible TV in addition to your set-top box.

All MAG devices are usable with mice, keyboards, memory cards, and external hard drives via USB ports. MAG Android TV set-top boxes support Bluetooth 5.0 and peripherals that connect via a wireless data transfer protocol.
